THE PROJECT

Pay Pal wanted a way to showcase how their secure payment solutions allow consumers to move seamlessly between online and offline shopping.

INSIGHT:

The flea market is one of the last bastions of real world social shopping. As brick-and-mortar retailers are going bankrupt at record numbers, pop-up shops, fairs, and outdoor markets are undergoing a boom. We needed a way to show how pay pal is at home at a local market as it is online.

SOLUTION:

We developed a mobile first responsive platform that allowed users to watch a live stream from a local flea market and buy the products being featured in real time. Items being featured in video stream were tagged allowing users purchase the products online as they were highlighted in the video.

MY ROLE:

  • Worked with tech team and client to develop functional requirements for how the live stream and product tagging should be implemented.

  • Managed the UX portion of the project, working with the design team to develop wireframes and a clickable prototype.
